Day 1
Arrival
Arrive at Kigali Airport and meet Primate Safari representatives. They would brief about the trip and introduce you to your safari driver guide. From there, they would escort you to the hotel for an overnight stay at the selected hotel on a bed and breakfast basis (excludes drinks).
Day 2
Kigali – Ruhengeri
The second day starts with a healthy breakfast at the hotel. Soon after breakfast, leave for a scenic drive to Parc National des Volcans. Stop at the city of Ruhengeri, which is the base for gorilla trekking, for a break. Ruhengeri is located in the Musanze district of Rwanda and is a popular pit-stop for those who ventured off on a trekking expedition in the national park. The city looks quite fascinating with its lively and vibrant streets. Explore its neighborhoods and capture its beautiful natural surroundings. Stay overnight at the selected lodge on a full-board basis.
Day 3
Parc National des Volcans – Gorilla trekking
After having an early breakfast, it's time to leave for Volcanoes National Park at 06:300 hrs. The third day is all about exploring the habitats of Gorilla while trekking. Upon reaching at 07:00 hrs, get registered and enter the park. Professional guides would put you in groups and would help you understand the dos and don'ts in the presence of gorillas. They would brief you about the national park and its diversity and would lead you to different places.
The trekking would take an approximate time ranging from 2 to 6 hours depending upon the availability of gorillas in their habitats. Take breaks on your way and capture wonderful photos. Have lunch at the selected lodge and stay there overnight on a full-board basis.
Day 4
Nyungwe National Park
The fourth day is all about visiting the charm of Nyungwe National Park in Rwanda. After breakfast, venture off into the park and explore its diverse wildlife and lush vegetation. Nyungwe National Park is located in the southwestern parts of the country and is famous amongst trekkers, photographers, and offbeat explorers. Comprising rainforests, wetlands, swamps, grasslands and hills, the park delivers a beautiful tapestry of nature. It lies near the town of Cyangugu and is home to innumerable species of animals, birds, plants and more. Stop for lunch at Kibuye and continue to catch glimpses of unknown beauties of Rwanda and capture the most beautiful wild shots. Stay overnight at the selected lodge on a full-board basis.
Day 5
Nyungwe National Park- Chimpanzee Trek
The fifth day would take you to the wonders of Nyungwe National Park for chimpanzee trekking. After breakfast, leave for the forest and go on to explore its richness spread across woods, mountains, and grasslands. Hike into the forest and behold the wonders the park nurtures. Nyungwe National Park is one of the oldest rainforests in the country and is quite popular for its vibrant wildlife. It is one of the few places where you come across rich habitats of chimpanzees. Also, spot a number of indigenous and exotic birds flying around. Bring along your camera and capture their beauty. After the trek, take a break at the selected lodge and spend your afternoon at leisure. You can also choose to indulge in outdoor activities like canopy walks or explore the other beauties of the forest, such as Kamiranzovu Waterfall, at an additional cost.
Day 6
To Kigali and depart
The sixth day brings your excursion to an end. Have a beautiful breakfast at your lodge and drive back to Kigali for your departure. Collect all your memories and reach the airport to board your onward flight.
