This 3-month-long festival is a mega event that takes place in Riyadh from October 15 to December 15. There are 12 main areas in the city that host seven different thematic events. The 17-day festival helps you explore the heritage and culture of Saudi Arabia. The festival features over 80 events in the Eastern Province, Dammam, Al Khobar, Al-Ahsa, Jubail, and Dhahran.

As the name suggests, the festival focuses on the manufacturing of dates and by-products such as jam, sugar, chocolate, dough, and molasses. You get to witness the biggest date market in the festival with over 30 varieties of dates on offer. The festival starts in August for three months. The annual festival is a great place to buy your stock of syrup, gift boxes, and paste.

This festival celebrates the country's heritage and culture and is one of the largest festivals in the country. The festival takes place for 2 weeks and presents folk art shows, poetry reciting events, camel races, and many other cultural events. The festival is fixed for November in Janadriyah close to Riyadh.

Saudi Arabian Muslims celebrate 'Salat Al Eid' with prayers. They gather in mosques or open spaces and offer 'Rakat'. This is an important religious festival that marks the end of Ramadan, the Islamic holy month of fasting. The date of Eid depends on the sighting of the full moon. There is no audible call to prayer for the Eid prayers.
