Network / Connectivity
The internet services in Bali, Indonesia, have come a long way- there are high -speed broadband connections available easily that are reliable to get online. The southern part of the island such as Denpasar, Sanur, Kuta, etc. have better internet quality than the north. There is 4G and fibre optics across the island and the average speed you will find in hotels and cafes is a decent 2 Mbps at minimum. Though mostly free, some of these locations may charge by the hour so do the pricing check beforehand.
Alternatively, you can also choose to buy mobile data that is faster. A SIM card with 4 GB of data costs an affordable $6 on average. With various telecom providers to choose from, you can do a comparison between Telkomsel, XL, and Smartfren to get internet speeds of upto 15 Mbps. Also, if you are planning on getting work done, there are various coworking spaces available to ensure that your productivity never slows down in Bali.
