Day 1
Arrival in Arusha
Welcome to Tanzania, the land of safaris. Upon arrival at the Kilimanjaro International Airport (flight booked by agent), meet and transfer to the luxurious Four Points by Sheraton Arusha Hotel. The earliest check-in is 1400 hours at the hotel. Enjoy an overnight stay in the Plantation Room with traditional decor on a bed and breakfast basis. Day 2
Lake Manyara National Park
Enjoy a morning at leisure with a briefing on the upcoming safari adventure followed by a sumptuous lunch. Depart from Arusha in the afternoon by road to drive past picturesque African villages of the famous ecological Maasai Steppe. Pass by maize, coffee and banana plantations to reach the town of Makuyuni. Continue the journey northwest through a scenic escarpment that brings you to your lodge, set on the edge of the Rift Valley. Absorb stunning views of Lake Manyara. Lake Manyara Serena Lodge or Lake Manyara Kilimanjaro Lodge is an ideal base for amazing sunsets against the backdrop of the Great Rift Valley. Enjoy your overnight stay on a full board basis.
Day 3
Serengeti National Park
After a delicious breakfast, go on a game drive at Lake Manyara National Park and be amazed at the sights of the exotic wilderness. Return to the lodge for lunch and continue your safari northwest across the stunning hilly countryside. The highlands are filled with wheat and coffee plantations as you enter the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Your safari starts right at the gate of the Serengeti as you begin to encounter wildlife. Relish the fact that you are in a famous place in Africa known for the annual migration of wildebeest and zebras.
After completion of formalities, the park welcomes you with fabulous sights of the Big Five in a game drive experience en route to the lodge. Arrive at the Serengeti Sopa Lodge. Check-in and enjoy the comforts of a lodge located in Nyarboro Hills in the famous Serengeti plains. Overnight stay at the lodge on a full board basis.
Day 4
Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, enjoy a morning and afternoon game drive at the Serengeti National Park. The park is famous for wildlife that includes gazelles, wildebeest and zebras, giraffes, black rhinos, and more. Around midday after lunch, head out for another game drive to admire the Big Five prowling in the rocky outcrops. Get lucky to see lions, elephants, buffalos, leopards, and rhinos. Return to the Serengeti Sopa Lodge for an overnight stay on a full board basis.
Hot Air Balloon Safari (Optional)
Interested in a hot air balloon safari? Wake up before sunrise and transfer to the balloon staging site. The balloon safari in Serengeti is a truly worthwhile experience. Embark on a wonderful balloon ride after a briefing session by the pilot as the crew gets the safari ride ready and inflates the envelope. The 50-minute fun ride will leave you awestruck at the amazing panoramic views of the Serengeti National Park. The fun continues to a wonderful customary bush breakfast rendezvous, a tradition followed for centuries. Celebrate with your fellow travellers and transfer to the lodge to continue your journey on the tour. Day 5
Ngorongoro Crater
After a delicious breakfast, depart for an astonishing game drive across the majestic Serengeti plains. Stop en route for a picnic lunch and visit the Maasai village to reach the Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge. Enjoy accommodation on a full board basis with magnificent views of the crater floor. The place is home to cheetahs, leopards, black rhinos, wildebeest, buffalos, and more. Relax and spend a restful night at the Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge on a full board basis.
Day 6
Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast, head out into the world's largest wildlife landscape, the Ngorongoro Crater. You are in the world’s largest volcanic caldera. Get an opportunity to relish a picnic lunch as you descend 2000 feet into the crater. The dramatic surroundings will leave you awestruck as you are amid swamps, forests, open grasslands, and beautiful springs. Spend time in the sandy dunes among pretty lakes and absorb a truly wonderful safari experience. Return to the lodge in the late afternoon to relax and spend the night. Day 7
Tarangire National Park
After an enjoyable breakfast, head southeast past Lake Manyara and Mto wa Mbu village. Pass through the Karatu district as you witness wheat plains and coffee plantations. The journey continues through the highlands down the escarpment to turn south on to the main Arusha-Dodoma road. Enter the Tarangire National Park gate and enjoy a game drive en-route before reaching the Tarangire Sopa Lodge. Accommodation is provided in the lodge amid ancient baobab trees in enjoyable rooms with verandahs for amazing views. The park is home to the greatest concentration of elephants, over 400 bird species, leopards, and the beautiful Tarangire River. Enjoy a relaxing overnight stay at the lodge that provides spacious rooms with well-appointed facilities. Stay overnight at the Tarangire Sopa Lodge on a full board basis.
Day 8
Departure
After breakfast, depart for Arusha as the road trip passes through the Maasai Steppe once again. Take in the sights of maize, coffee, and banana plantations to make memories that will always be cherished. Upon arrival at Arusha, have a delicious lunch and be transferred to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your onward flight (booked by the agent). The earliest departure from Kilimanjaro International Airport is after 1600 hours. Savor the memories of a wonderful safari adventure for a lifetime.
