Itinerary

Day 1

Arrival at Windhoek

  • Upon arrival at Windhoek, we provide you with a private transfer.
  • Overnight stay in the hotel.

Day 2

Bushmanland

  • After breakfast, we leave Windhoek in the morning at around 8 am travelling up north Namibia, to Bushmenland.
  • We meet the Bushmen tribe in their village.
  • Overnight stay in the accommodation provided as per the itinerary.

Day 3

Bushmanland Village

  • Post breakfast we visit Bushmen Village early morning,
  • The tour visits the Living Museum of the Ju/'Hoansi, situated deep in the bush, where we will spend around 3 to 5 hours with this unique and fascinating tribe.
  • Spend time observing their traditions and culture, learn skills of animal-tracking in the bush, and find water-rich plants, berries and fruits.
  • Bushmen entertain you with their traditional dances, games and songs. Participate in the activities to enjoy your time.
  • Overnight stay in the accommodation provided.

Day 4

Etosha National Park

  • After breakfast, we will travel to Namibia wildlife sanctuary – Etosha National Park. Etosha, meaning a ‚ ‘place of dry water’ is one of the most frequently visited and considered to be one of the most loved national parks in Africa. It is dedicated to protecting the wildlife of African bush and savanna.
  • The spell-binding beauty of nature in the park is mesmeric.
  • Wild animals such as lions, cheetahs, leopards, elephants, giraffes, zebras, hyenas, rhinos, a variety of antelopes, birds and reptiles inhabit enormous regions of grassy savanna.
  • Etosha presents a picture of harmony where we observe wildlife in its natural, untouched environment.
  • Go on a game drive until late afternoon and transfer to our lodge before sunset.
  • Overnight stay in the lodge.

Day 5

Etosha National Park

  • Post breakfast we participate in a full-day game drive planned for today, from sunrise to sunset with a break for lunch.
  • Overnight stay in the lodge.

Day 6

Opuwo & Kaokoland

  • After breakfast, travel through the western regions of Etosha visiting the last waterholes and enjoying the wildlife of Africa.
  • We leave Etosha around lunchtime driving to Opuwo in Kaokoland, the capital of this northern region
  • Overnight stay in the accommodation provided.

Day 7

Himba Village

  • Today in the morning post breakfast, we travel through the vast terrain of Kaokoland to visit the semi-nomadic Himba people.
  • Himba is one of the last semi-nomadic tribes on Earth, who continue to keep their traditional and ancient way of life, as they did for hundreds of years.
  • Himba is a tribe of nomadic pastoralists who inhabit the Kaokoland area of Namibia.
  • The Himba have clung to their traditions and the beautiful Himba women are noted for their intricate hairstyles and traditional jewellery.
  • As Himba men and women wear few clothes apart from a loin cloth or goat-skinned mini-skirt, they rub their bodies with red ochre and fat to protect themselves from the sun which gives their appearance a rich red colour. Himba jewelry is made from iron or shell, and due to its intricate designs has become very popular among western tourists.
  • Visit the Himba Village for spectacular ethnic photography opportunities! One of the world’s best and most award-winning ethnic photos was taken at Himba villages in Namibia.
  • Overnight stay in the accommodation provided.

Day 8

Departure

  • After breakfast, we proceed to Windhoek, the capital city of Namibia.
  • Our journey will take around 8 hours with stops to stretch our legs, lunch and take pictures of the magnificent landscape.
  • We arrive in Windhoek by late afternoon and our guide will transfer to your lodge/hotel for departure.
