Day 1
Tarangire National Park
Get ready for a fascinating drive from Arusha town centre to the famous Tarangire National Park. En route, be amazed by the scenic views of the Great Rift Valley and drive along the fringe of the Maasai Steppe. The breathtaking ecosystem includes healthy Maasai village lands where livestock husbandry is the main livelihood. Notice as you drive the beautiful thatched roof huts as young lads attend to their herds of cattle.
Stay amazed at the beauty of the Maasai Steppe, an important ecological system for wildlife and people conservation in Northern Tanzania. Upon arrival at the Sangaiwe Tented Camp or Lodge, relax in comfortable tented accommodation with stunning views. Enjoy a delicious dinner and an overnight stay at the camp or lodge.
Day 2
Tarangire National Park
After a hearty breakfast, get ready to enjoy a full day of game viewing in Tarangire National Park. The game drive takes you on an exploration of the savannah plains with thousands of baobab trees, huge grasslands, prolific wildlife and birdlife. Look out for elephants, zebras, leopards, wildebeest, oryx, eland and more sightings.
Travellers have the option of returning to the lodge with the service of the driver guide for lunch. Others who have opted for a packed lunch option can continue the extraordinary game viewing experience of the park. Return to the camp or lodge for a tasty dinner and an overnight stay at the Sangaiwe Tented Camp or Lodge.
Day 3
Lake Manyara National Park
After an enjoyable breakfast, drive to Lake Manyara National Park for a fascinating morning session of game viewing. The picturesque Lake Manyara is renowned for its tree-climbing lions, elephants, buffalos, flamingos, and more. The popular park also offers marvellous backdrops of the Rift Valley escarpment as well. Go on to Karatu with splendid views of the northern highlands.
Upon arrival at the lodge, relax and enjoy a delicious lunch. You also have an option to visit the Iraqw Cultural Centre to explore the traditional cultures of the Iraqw people. You are driven to the attraction under the care of a professional driver guide. Return to the Bougainvillea Safari Lodge for a tasty dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 4
Ngorongoro Crater
Break the night fast with a sumptuous breakfast and proceed on to the Ngorongoro Crater for a full day game drive. The incredible area stretches to 102 square miles formed twenty-five million years ago. The diverse fertile terrain is a result of a huge volcano collapsing to form a crater. The area boasts of diverse landscapes where the densest animal population lives in East Africa. The crater floor offers rich vegetation, 30,000 resident mammals in a paradisal ecosystem balanced delicately by the right numbers of predators and prey.
The Big Five can be spotted on the crater floor with leopards hunting, massive black Rhinos in the grasslands, Cape Buffalo grazing the fields, and more. The day includes the experience of a picnic lunch by a hippo pool as you absorb the breathtaking views of Tanzania. Return to the Bougainvillea Safari Lodge after a splendid day of game viewing for a delicious dinner and overnight stay.
Day 5
Arusha - Departure
Go on to return to Arusha by road in the morning so you can reach by noon. Take with you amazing memories of a wonderful safari adventure.
