Day 1
Arrival in Sri Lanka - Colombo to Kandy (approximately 3 hours)
Ayubowan! Welcome to the ‘pearl of the Indian Ocean, Sri Lanka which will leave you spellbound with its simplicity and ancient history with strong Indian influences. Upon arrival you will be warmly welcomed by our friendly Travelwings representative and then introduced to an English speaking chauffeur guide.
Enjoy refreshments along with your breakfast at a hotel and then we then proceed to Kandy. Enroute visit Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage with the largest herd of captive elephants in the world

Day 2
Kandy City Tour
After a delicious breakfast, the tour proceeds to explore Kandy City. Interestingly, the city was last ruled by King Sri Wickrama Rajasinghe before it was brought under British rule in 1815. Kandy is a World Heritage Site and the last royal capital of Sri Lankan kings. Immerse yourself in the array of culture, history and heritage that the city boasts of. History lovers from across the globe visit here to experience the Kandyan legacy. We visit the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic of Lord Buddha with its crown jewel that attracts many visitors. Take a stroll across this lakeside town that is nestled among misty hills. This small town also features the Kandy City Centre for the latest world-class brands. We also see an Arts and Crafts Centre, a Gem Museum and a Lapidary. Here you can witness the art of working in stone and creating small objects from gem material.
Proceed onwards to visit the famous Royal Botanical Garden that sits majestically across 147 acres of picturesque landscape. It was started in 1374 as a pleasure garden of the Kings of Gampola & Kandy. There are more than 5,000 species of trees, plants and creepers, some which are rare and endemic. Embrace the tropical world around you with the varied flora found in the garden.

Day 3
Kandy to Colombo (110 km distance / approximately 3 hours)
Today after breakfast, check out from the hotel and proceed onwards to Colombo. The progressive capital city is a hybrid mix of modern skyscrapers and the old city charm. There are several British built colonial buildings as well as places of interest such as ancient Hindu and Buddhist temples. You can also find residential areas where you find the stately homes of the affluent. Visit the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH) which is a gift to Sri Lanka from the People's Republic of China and the Old Parliament Building that are top attractions. The tour also visits the Dutch-Portuguese Fort area, mosques, temples, churches, The Independence Square and The National Museum.
Proceed to discover the shopping paradise of Colombo and enjoy a good bargain on quality clothes and fashion accessory items. Go on to visit ODEL Unlimited to indulge in shopping for designer-wear apparel for the whole family. Savour the delights of local cuisine and discover a culinary experience as well. We then visit Stone ‘N’ String, the famous fashion jewellery shop. Choose from a vast selection of unique, attractive and affordable innovative fashion jewellery, mostly made of corals and various types of stones. Bedazzled by the genuine Gemstones that have been used in designing the jewellery, blending the lush freshness of nature with the warm sensuality of design. You can also find Jade, Coral, Tiger Eye, Hematite, Blue Sapphire, Rubies and more that are nature's pride.
The tour proceeds to Barefoot, a world-class store in Colombo with a garden courtyard Gallery Cafe. It is a premier destination for shopping where you get an array of shopping items to buy from toys, bags, clothes, handloom fabric, sarongs, sarees, household linen, art, photography, books to furniture and more. Check out The House of Fashion, a large four-story mall, which has a wide variety of apparel, handbags, luggage and home décor at very reasonable prices.
We also visit the Colombo City Center, Marino Mall, and One Galle Face for a wonderful premier shopping experience.
