Itinerary

Day 1

ARRIVAL IN VANCOUVER, CANADA

Welcome to Vancouver during midday and proceed on an excursion through the city, this afternoon.
The city welcomes you to the prettiest urban beaches, English Bay, forest trails, lush green parks, and fabulous mountainous views. Explore Stanley Park, a beautiful lush peninsula park with a paved seawall walking path that you can crisscross.
Walk the famous Seawall—lined by temperate rainforest and the shimmering blue waters of Vancouver Harbour—for incredible views of the skyline. In the evening, we gather with fellow travellers for an enjoyable welcome reception and dinner.

Day 2

ROCKY MOUNTAINEER - KAMLOOPS

Enjoy a hearty breakfast and transfer to the train depot in the morning. Board the famous Rocky Mountaineer, and settle into one of its two-level, glass-domed coaches. Enjoy the journey on a luxury scenic rail with plush accommodation to enjoy breath-taking views of the Canadian Rockies. Look out for the highlight attractions along the way including the thunderous rapids of Fraser Canyon. Here up to 200 million gallons of water can flow per minute, and the steep slopes and rock sheds along the Thompson River. We disembark at Kamloops, a city for every season. Spend the evening exploring this mountain town at your leisure.

Day 3

ROCKY MOUNTAINEER - JASPER NATIONAL PARK

This morning after breakfast the Rocky Mountaineer brings us farther north, entering the Canadian Rockies. The scenic and dramatic views of the panorama are mind-blowing. We’ll ride by Pyramid Creek Falls, a glacier-fed cascade that flows out of a hanging valley. The journey takes you over the Continental Divide at Yellowhead Pass. Our train voyage culminates as we glide by Mount Robson, the most prominent mountain in the North American Rocky Mountain range. The craggy peaks reach heights of nearly 13,000 feet and boast the tallest summit in the Canadian Rockies.
This evening, arrive in Jasper National Park known for its vast wilderness and abundant natural beauty. Check-in to our lakeside lodge, nestled within a forested valley in the heart of the park for a wonderful scenic stay.

Day 4

JASPER NATIONAL PARK

This morning after breakfast soak in the immense beauty of the Jasper National Park's glacier-sculpted landscapes over the next two days. We travel through the park to Maligne Lake, watching for moose, elk, and caribou along the way.
Go on a scenic boat cruise, and skim across the lake's turquoise water, taking in a backdrop of staggering peaks. The azure water, surrounding peaks and the beauty of the glacier-fed lake are mesmerising.
Enjoy dinner in town or at the lodge on your own.
The next day, we get aboard the Jasper SkyTram to be amid soaring mountains. We reach a lookout point over 7,000 feet above sea level for breathtaking views. Take in the 360-degree views that include six surrounding mountain ranges, glacier-fed lakes, rivers, and the town of Jasper. In the afternoon wander to take an optional hike before dinner in the evening.

Day 5

Day 6

ATHABASCA GLACIER - LAKE LOUISE, BANFF NATIONAL PARK

Relish a wholesale breakfast and proceed along the scenic Icefields Parkway towards Banff National Park. We stop en route at the Athabasca Glacier. This ice mass is part of the Columbia Icefield and is the largest in a chain of glaciers along Canada’s Great Divide Trail.
Set out on an amazing trekking adventure with a skilled guide. Get up-close with fascinating geology.
This afternoon, we arrive at the historic Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise, situated on the dazzling alpine lake in Banff. This is your fascinating accommodation amid sparkling blue waters. Wander the natural surroundings at your leisure upon your arrival. Walk the grounds and lakeshore trail before enjoying dinner on your own at one of the many dining options on the property.

Day 7

BANFF NATIONAL PARK - YOHO NATIONAL PARK

After a tasty breakfast, we proceed to spend the day exploring Banff and Yoho National Parks. Embrace the beauty of spectacular landscapes that surround Lake Louise. Your guide's knowledgeable interpretation will make the journey more exciting. Go on a series of hikes through stretches of wildflowers to pristine lakes. We discover Moraine Lake with pristine waters and a skyscraping set of ice-clad summits as backdrops. Delve in the brilliance of Emerald Lake, fringed by fragrant pine forests.
Stop for a picnic lunch, then take in the view of the Spiral Tunnels of the Canadian Pacific Railway. This is an engineering feat dating back to 1909. Visit the Yoho National Park Visitor Centre, and browse the interactive exhibits about the Burgess Shale, one of the most important fossil deposits ever discovered.
Tonight, enjoy a farewell dinner back at the lodge.

CALGARY
