Itinerary

Day 1

Arrival in Tbilisi International Airport & Transfer to Gudauri

  • Arrive at Tbilisi International Airport, followed by a transfer to a hotel in Gudauri.
  • Check-in and stay overnight at the hotel in Gudauri.
  • Meal Dinner

Day 2

Gudauri - Kazbegi - Gudauri

≈5-6 hours | 110 km

  • After breakfast at the hotel, we will begin our tour by driving to Kazbegi, the main town in this region. Along the way, we will stop at Gudauri Panorama, a circular balcony built in the late 19th century, perched on a 600-meter cliff, offering breathtaking views of the Caucasus Mountains.
  • Upon reaching Kazbegi, we will drive up to Gergeti, situated at an altitude of 2,170 meters beneath Mount Kazbegi (5,047 meters), Georgia’s third-highest peak. Here, we will admire the stunning natural scenery and panoramic views of the Caucasus.
  • Next, we will continue to Dariali Gorge, a picturesque location nestled in the heart of the Caucasus Mountains, home to numerous natural monuments.
  • Finally, we will return to Gudauri for hotel accommodation and an overnight stay.

Day 3

Gudauri - Mtskheta - Tbilisi

≈5-6 hours | 140 km

  • After enjoying breakfast at the hotel, we will begin our tour with a visit to the Ananuri Complex, the former residence of the Aragvi Dukes from the 16th and 17th centuries. Overlooking the stunning Zhinvali Dam, one of Georgia’s main reservoirs, this historic site offers breathtaking views.
  • Next, we will visit the unique confluence of the Tetri Aragvi and Shavi Aragvi rivers, known for their striking white and black waters that remain distinct even after merging.
  • Our journey then takes us to Mtskheta, Georgia’s former capital and one of Europe’s oldest cities. Along the way, we will stop at Jvari Monastery, perched atop a rocky peak, where you can enjoy panoramic views of the Aragvi and Mtkvari rivers.
  • We will then proceed to the magnificent Svetitskhoveli Cathedral, Georgia’s second-largest church and the revered burial site of Christ’s Robe.

Day 4

Tbilisi City Tour

≈6-7 hours

  • After breakfast at the hotel, we will begin our tour by exploring Old Tbilisi. Our first stop will be Metekhi, where the statue of the city’s royal founder, Vakhtang Gorgasali, majestically overlooks the Mtkvari River and Meidan Square.
  • Next, we will take a leisurely stroll along Shardeni Street, a lively area filled with colorful cafés and restaurants. We will then cross the modern Bridge of Peace, which connects the historic part of the city to Rike Park. From there, a scenic cable car ride will take us to Narikala Fortress, followed by a walk to the iconic Mother of Georgia statue, symbolizing the nation's spirit—offering a wine chalice to guests and holding a sword for enemies.
  • Descending into Abanotubani, we will visit the famous natural sulfur baths before continuing to Leghvtakhevi, home to a picturesque waterfall. Our journey will then take us to the Tbilisi (Juma) Mosque, uniquely known for allowing both Sunni and Shia Muslims to pray together.
  • We will then explore Bazari Orbeliani, a historic market square dating back to 1886, now a vibrant modern marketplace featuring Georgian national restaurants alongside renowned international food chains.
  • Later, we will drive to Rustaveli Avenue, Tbilisi’s main street, lined with important governmental, cultural, public, and business institutions.
  • Finally, we will return to the hotel for accommodation and an overnight stay in Tbilisi.

Payment and Cancellation Policy

  • 45 days or more from the departure date - 25% of the package cost to be paid (non-refundable)
  • Between 45 to 30 days from the departure date - 50 % of the package cost to be paid (non-refundable)
  • Less than 30 days from the departure date - 100% of the package cost (non-refundable).
  • Full refund is only applicable in the case of flight cancellation due to COVID restrictions and lockdown measures in the respective destinations as per the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the country .

  • If the visa is not specified in the package, it is not included. Please note that the final decision regarding visa applications rests solely with the respective Embassy/Consulate.

  • The passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the return date of departure. Client’s responsibility to obtain correct, current, and valid passports and re-entry permits where required. Please reach out to our team if you need any help with this.
  • Any changes or delays in flight schedules are at the sole discretion of the airline. We recommend checking your flight status 24 hours prior to departure, as schedules may change without notice.
  • Food and seat selection vary by flight. If not included, they are chargeable and subject to availability according to the airline's policy.
  • For group departures, if the airline allows us to pre-book food and seat selection for an additional charge, we will do so for the guest. In cases where the airline doesn't allow pre-booking, the guest may book food and seats at the counter or directly with the airline during boarding, subject to availability.
  • The food menu (Veg/Non-Veg) is determined by the airline and hotel policies, and we have no control over it.
  • For the extra tour/ optional tour, English Speaking Driver cum guide will be provided if it's less than 3 pax
  • In case the selected hotel is unavailable due to an unexpected situation, an alternate arrangement will be offered to the customer in a hotel of a similar category.
  • The availability of adjoining rooms/ interconnecting rooms/non-smoking rooms/rooms on the same floor etc. cannot be guaranteed.
  • Room type (double or twin) is subject to availability and is at the sole discretion of the hotel.
  • Standard hotel check-in time is 1400 Hours and check-out time is 1100 Hours local time. It may vary based on destinations and availability.
  • At the time of check-in to your hotel, the hotel may ask you to make an advance/security deposit (the amount depends upon the hotel policy). This amount is refunded at the time of check-out, minus the cost of any items taken from the mini-bar or other charges (like late check-out or any damages done to the room).
  • All tours and transfers by sharing coach on the group, the client should follow the timing on the ground. If any transfer is missed, Travelwings will not be responsible, and the client will bear the extra cost
  • Any ticket to attractions, museums, trains, cable cars, ferries, rides, safari, etc. is not included unless explicitly mentioned as an inclusion.
  • The activity/sightseeing changes are subject to availability and operational days, the itinerary might change due to the same on ground.
  • If any service or tour is canceled on-site due to unforeseen circumstances, we will provide an alternative sightseeing option or issue a refund for the specific service or tour affected.
  • If any service or tour is missed by the guest, the package price will remain unchanged, and no refund will be provided for the unused service.
  • If you face any issues during the tour, inform the Travelwings representative immediately for prompt resolution, as we cannot address them after the tour is completed.
  • Customers are fully responsible to carry proper travel documentation (make sure that all travel documents are valid and complete and check the entry requirements for your upcoming trip before you travel).
  • No refund can be given for air tickets and partially used services.
  • We do not accept any responsibility if the passenger cannot travel because of any passport or visa issue.
