The Taman Ayun temple is bordered by broad canals and it can only be entered via a bridge leading to a richly ornamented candid bentar, the gate which gives access to the outer courtyard (jaba) of the temple. Afterwards, continue the tour to Bedugul, which is an excellent base for walking trips around the lakes and surrounding hills. Bedugul lies on a high plateau at the centre of the Island with cool air and mists surrounding the vicinity of the region. Bedugul is home to a resort with popular attractions like the Beratan Mountains, Beratan Lake and also the Ulun Danu which lies in close proximity to the resort. Ulun Danu – is an amazing temple, which seems to have risen out of Beratan Lake 1200 metres above sea level. There are many water sports activities available here like boating, water skiing and parasailing. When the heat and humidity start soaring high Bedugul becomes the perfect summer retreat for locals and tourists alike. Bali's highland retreat is tucked away in a crater of an extinct volcano 1400 meters above sea level. Here three lakes provide everything from recreation to the water for springs, rivers and rice fields that lay in the valley below. Lush pine forests create fresh breezes of air. Bedugul is known for the quality of its fruit, vegetables and flowers. Finally, we will visit the Tanah Lot Temple, which is one of Bali’s most important landmarks and is popular for its unique offshore setting and sunset backdrops. An ancient Hindu shrine perched on top of an outcrop amidst constantly crashing waves is the highlight of the region. Overnight stay will be back in the hotel as per the itinerary.
