Day 1
Arrival in Madrid
The journey begins with the arrival at the Madrid International Airport. Where you will be met and accompanied by our local representative at the departure gates. Post which you will be escorted to the bus where you will have some time to click pictures and grab a snack until all the members of the tour board the bus. After that, the coach will depart to your booked hotel in Zurich. Where during check-in you can take down the complete details about the tour and the available services for the tour group that you are a part of. The evening is reserved for a tour of the Gran Via, Plaza de Espana and the Egyptian Temple Of Debod. Post which you can choose from any of the restaurants within the area for your dinner. That would be a choice of cuisine between Chinese, Middle Eastern, Indian and Spanish.
Day 2
Madrid
The morning of the second day will begin with a nice breakfast followed by a tour of the city of Madrid. The tour will commence at the heart of the city of Madrid. With the tour covering places like Paseo del Prado, Cibeles, Neptuno, the Gate of Alcalá, Plaza de Colón and Plaza Mayor. Post which the tour will head out to Retiro Park, an oasis in the city centre, where we will see the lake and the Glass Palace. The next on the list of tours in Madrid will bring the group to the Las Ventas Bullring (admission included). The location is one of the most popular bullrings in all of Spain. Where the tradition of “corridas” is put on display at the bullring’s museum.
The rest of the afternoon will be at your own leisure. In the evening the tour will head on to Plaza de Oriente, which is bang opposite the Royal Place. And is one of the few busy streets in Spain, lined with many restaurants serving different cuisines. The choice for the evening dinner will be Chinese, Continental and Spanish. And you will be able to choose and dine in any one of the restaurants. After the dinner, the group will be transferred back to the hotel.
Day 3
Madrid → Granada
Day three begins with an early morning breakfast at the hotel. Post which the group will check out and commence a transfer to Granada. The group will head out on a journey to the South of Spain across La Mancha. With a brief stop at Puerto Laplace, which is a ‘Manchego’ style village. Conjuring up an image of Don Quixote, an unfinished film project by Orson Welles. Next, the group arrives at Andalusia, Granada via Despeñaperros National Park.
The lunch will be at the hotel that we check-in at Granada. Post lunch the group will head on to a guided tour of the Alhambra Palace and the Generalife gardens, made during the Arab influence. The evening will be followed by a dinner in the Albayzin district of Granada. Where one would be able to enjoy an authentic Spanish dinner in the narrow winding medieval streets of Albaicin. Post dinner the group will have the option to attend a flamenco dance show in the authentic neighbourhood of Sacromonte.
Day 4
Granada → Malaga → Marbella → Ronda → Seville
On day four the morning will begin with breakfast in Granada. Post breakfast the group will check-out from the hotel in Granada and begin its journey to Costa del Sol. Post which the group will arrive at Malaga. And explore the historic cathedral, the Picasso museum and the city centre that can be found in the region. Post this the group will continue its voyage along the coastal motorway with beautiful views of the Mediterranean.
The journey will take a break at the Puerto Banus in Marbella. Which is a popular resort often called the playground of Europe’s rich and famous. The journey will head-on into the afternoon until the group touches Ronda. Which is a beautiful ‘white town’ divided into two parts by a massive gorge. The final leg of the day’s journey will witness the group arriving at the hotel in Seville in the late afternoon. Where after check-in the rest of the evening will be at your leisure.
Day 5
Seville
Day five will begin with a hearty breakfast at the hotel in Seville. Followed by a guided tour across the city of Seville. That would take through the Cathedral and its famous Giralda (bell tower), the banks of the Guadalquivir River, popu¬lar neighbourhoods of Santa Cruz and Triana and the beautiful Plaza de España.
Post the city tour, we have booked a boat ride for the group along the river Guadalquivir. That offers the group mesmerising views of the surrounding landscape from the boat. Post this the afternoon is at your leisure. Towards the evening the group will be escorted to the historic city centre area of Calle Alfonso XII. Where you can choose from a selection of restaurants that you wish to dine in for dinner.
Day 6
Seville → Zaragoza → Poblet → Montserrat → Barcelona
Day six will begin with an early morning breakfast at the hotel in Seville. Post which the group will check out of the hotel. And then transferred to Seville city’s train station to board a comfortable super fast train to Zaragoza. In under four hours, the group would cover a journey of eight hundred and fifty kilometres between Seville and Zaragoza.
On reaching Zaragoza, the group will be taken on a guided tour to Pilar Basilica and the city centre directly from the station. Post this we head on for a road trip to Poblet, which is home to one of the most beautiful medieval monasteries in the world.
Next, the tour will commence its journey to Montserrat, where the group will head up the mountain on a rack train to witness the marvellous scenery. Late afternoon the final leg of the day’s journey will see the group arriving in Barcelona. With the rest of the day at your own leisure.
Day 7
Barcelona
Day seven begins with a hearty breakfast followed by a guided city tour of Barcelona. The guided tour will begin at the iconic central area of Barcelona, home to many Gothic buildings dating back to the middle ages. The tour will touch the area where the first Olympic Games took place. The tour will also cover La Sagrada Fa¬milia Basilica, the masterpiece designed by the world-famous architect Gaudí.
The next location on this iconic tour is ‘Poble Espanyol’, which means ‘Spanish village’ in the native dialect of Spain. This open-air architectural museum is situated in one of the most emblematic areas of Barcelona. Through the tour, the group would be able to experience Spanish craftsmanship and discover the architectural styles, traditions and folklore of the different regions that make up Spain.
The rest of the afternoon is free at your own leisure. For dinner, transfers will be made available to Las Ramblas and Plaza Catalunya. Where one can choose from several different restaurants to choose from. Post which the group will return to the hotel.
Day 8
Departure
After breakfast the group will be transferred to the international airport in Barcelona. For your return flight back to your home country.
