A Journey Across Switzerland

Day 1

Arrival in ZURICH

The journey begins with the arrival at Zurich International Airport. Where you will be met and accompanied by our local representative at the departure gates. Post which you will be escorted to the bus where you will have some time to click pictures and grab a snack until all the members of the tour board the bus. After that, the coach will depart to your booked hotel in Zurich. Where during check-in you can take down the complete details about the tour and the available services for the tour group that you are a part of. The night is at your own leisure followed by an overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 2

ZURICH → BERN → FRIBOURG → NYON → YVOIRE → GENEVA

The morning of the second day will begin with a nice breakfast, followed by check-out from the hotel for the next phase of the tour. Post-check-out the tour will commence and the journey to Bern will begin. On reaching Bern, the tour will advance to the ‘Garden of roses’ for a beautiful view of the valley below. The rest of the morning will be at your own leisure. Followed by lunch at any of the local restaurants in the city. Post lunch the tour will commence to the city of French-speaking Switzerland, Freiburg.

After exploring the bilingual city of Freiburg, we will head to Lake Leman. For a boat ride to the next city of Lyon, which lies on the shores of Lake Leman. From there we take a ferry ride to the French city of Yvoire. Which is a mesmerizing medieval village that also lies on the shores of the lake. The small village of Yvoire resides within the castle walls with fortified gates in the front. While the streets and the vicinity of the castle are home to beautiful flower beds. The final location of day one of the tour ends in Geneva. Where post-check-in the dinner is also in the hotel.

Day 3

GENEVA → CHILLON CASTLE → GRUYERE → GSTAAD

Day three begins with a nice hearty breakfast at the hotel. Post breakfast the tour begins with a tour of the city of Geneva. Which is a popular city for many international banks and other socio-economic institutions. The next destination is the Chillon Castle that adorns the heart of the lake built on a piece of landmass. Post a detailed excursion of the castle, the next destination is the walled village of Gruyere. Popular the world over for the world-renowned Gruyere cheese. Post this the tour will move on to the chocolate producing town of Gstaad. That will include a chocolate tasting session for a cocoa treat to your palette. Post which the group will be checked-in to a resort in the village.

Day 4

GSTAAD → GRINDELWALD → MEININGER → CHIASSO

On day four the morning will begin with breakfast at the small Gstaad village resort. Post breakfast the group will begin a guided tour to Grindelwald. On reaching Grindelwald, the group can have a thirty-minute coffee break. Before taking a cable car to the top of the region. Followed by a thirty-minute walk to the famous “footbridge over the empty”. Post that the lunch is scheduled in a local restaurant in Grindelwald. Post lunch the tour heads on out to Meininger, with a guided tour of the Aareschlucht Gorge. That offers beautiful views of the landscape around. After this, the tour heads to the Chiasso city that lies on the Swiss - Italian border. Where the group will check in for the night.

Day 5

CHIASSO → LUGANO → BURGLEN → LUCERNE → ZURICH → DEPARTURE

Day five will begin with breakfast at the hotel in Chiasso. Followed by a tour to the city of Lugano, very popular for the lake that is found in the city. After a brief walk around the city, the tour will head on to the St. Gotthard Pass. After which we will head on to the village of Burglen, the hometown of the famous William Tell (Swiss folk hero). A guided tour will take you to the XVI century chapel. Which is home to the numerous paintings and illustrations depicting the entire life of William Tell. Post this the tour will head on out to the city of Lucerne, where the afternoon will be at your own leisure. Post which the group will head on out to the city of Zurich. On arrival in Zurich, the airport transfer for departure will commence. For your flight back home.
